Shelby Rowe

Shelby Rowe is a leading public health and suicide prevention expert with over 30 years of experience, Before starting her own consulting business in 2025, she recently served as the executive director and principal investigator of the Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC), a SAMHSA-funded grant program based at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, devoted to advancing the implementation of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. She has a wealth of experience working at the local, tribal, state, and national levels to develop tools and resources for preventing suicide.

Shelby is a sought-after advisor and collaborates extensively with other leaders across the U.S. and internationally to advance suicide prevention efforts. She is a member of the Suicide in Women and Girls Taskforce for the International Association for Suicide Prevention, and serves on the board of directors for both Mental Health America and Recovery Innovations International.

Rowe is an award-winning artist, mother of three sons, and suicide attempt survivor. She received the 2021 American Association of Suicidology Transforming Lived Experience Award, the 2025 Heartline Innovation Award and was recognized as the 2016 Chickasaw Nation Dynamic Woman of the Year. She earned a BA in Liberal Studies from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from University of Phoenix.
