Geri Wisner is a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, a United States Marine, and a 22-year criminal prosecutor in Indian Country. Appointed Attorney General to lead the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Justice in 2022, Wisner serves as the chief law enforcement officer responsible for the execution of Tribal laws within the Reservation. Her tenure has been defined by the complex jurisdictional challenges following the McGirt v. Oklahoma decision. Under the leadership of General Wisner, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation has gained the reputation as the ‘tip of the spear’ for its fierce defense of sovereignty and tribal interests.
