Mitch Holditch has dedicated his entire legal career to the advancement of tribal sovereignty, particularly in the energy development sector. As general counsel for energy producing tribes, Mitch has obtained a keen understanding of the critical role that tribes will play in our energy future both domestically and internationally.
Mitch's practice in tribal energy focuses on transactional drafting and negotiation, land use, organization and corporate governance of tribal business entities, and the development and implementation of tribal regulatory frameworks to promote sustainable development of both fossil fuels and renewable resources on tribal lands. Mitch has also advocated for tribal energy sovereignty in federal court, including the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the Federal Circuit.
While recognizing the importance of building strong partnerships within the industry, Mitch limits his practice to the representation of tribes and tribal entities and does not represent non-Indian industry stakeholders seeking to enter business relationships with tribes or otherwise navigate commercial activities in Indian country.
Mitch was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado Law School in 2015.
