Jacob Keyes serves as Chairman of the Iowa Tribe of Oklahoma, a role he has held since 2023 after previously serving as Vice Chairman. As chairman, he is focused on strengthening the tribe’s long-term prosperity through economic development, improved healthcare access, and the growth of tribal reserves to support future generations.
Under his leadership, the tribe is advancing several major initiatives, including the development recent opening of a new Harrah’s Casino in partnership with Caesars Entertainment and the construction of a new tribal health facility and childcare center. Keyes has been recognized for his leadership by being named to The Journal Record’s Power List of Tribal Leaders in 2025 and 405 Business Magazine’s Most Influential list in 2023.
A descendant of longtime Iowa Tribe Chairman Lawrence Murray, Keyes is committed to creating opportunities for the next seven generations of tribal citizens. He is married with four children and also owns Skydance Brewing Co., Oklahoma’s Native American craft brewery, where he has won multiple awards, including Best New Brewery in America by Hop Culture Magazine in 2022 and was named to Native Business Magazine’s list of Top 50 Native Entrepreneurs in 2019.
