David Holt

David Holt has been the Mayor of Oklahoma City since 2018 and Dean of OCU Law since 2023. He served as President of the United States Conference of Mayors in 2025-2026. As Mayor, he has championed voter approval of $5 billion worth of investments in Oklahoma City. He was most recently elected Mayor in February of this year with 86.5% of the vote. In 2023, he was named by TIME as one of its “100 Next” most influential people in the world.

Previously, Mayor Holt served as an Oklahoma Senator from 2010 to 2018, where he authored over 70 pieces of legislation that became law. He has also served in the White House of President George W. Bush and in the Office of the U.S. Speaker of the House. Holt received his B.A. from The George Washington University and his J.D. from OCU Law. He and wife Rachel – the President & CEO of the United Way of Central Oklahoma – reside in OKC with their two children.
