Conor P. Cleary

Conor P. Cleary is the Tulsa Field Solicitor for the U.S. Department of the Interior and provides legal advice to Interior agencies, including the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He served as the lead advisor for the Department to the Office of the Solicitor General in McGirt v. Oklahoma and Oklahoma v. Castro-Huerta. He earned an LL.M. in American Indian and Indigenous law with highest honors from the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he is now an adjunct professor of law. He is a graduate of the OU College of Law and served as Articles Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review. The author of numerous articles on Federal Indian law, he has twice been awarded the Maurice Merrill Golden Quill Award by the Oklahoma Bar Journal for the best article published in the journal that year.
