Benjamin Varadi

Benjamin Varadi is an Associate Professor of Law at Vermont Law & Graduate School, where he teaches business and nonprofit law, legal ethics, and agricultural law. His current research explores how cannabis and other emerging industries are regulated amid tensions between federal, state, and tribal law, with particular focus on market structure, equity for historically marginalized communities, and triple-bottom-line considerations.

Prof. Varadi previously served as a research fellow at the Tulane Center for Intellectual Property Law and Culture and as a lecturer at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. As a practitioner, he operated a boutique business law firm serving entrepreneurs and investors in vice and other emerging industries. He was also a partner at a New Orleans law firm, and served as managing attorney of the Common Ground Relief Legal Clinic.
